The Boston Massacre
It was a cold bleak day in a town on Kingstreet. John and Hugh, who were British soldiers, were standing guard on Kingstreet. They were anxious because they knew there were many colonist. They claimed the colonists were mean. The colonist were mad at King George because he had indignant laws and taxes. The soldiers had been harassing the colonists. They nervously watched the streets.
It wasn't long before colonist came to provoke the soldiers. Hugh, who rushed over to help, got so angry he hit a colonist in the face with the butt of his gun. He let out a cry and an angry mob of colonists rushed over. Captain Prescott sent several soldiers over to maintain order, but this only made the mob more angry. They began throwing ice chunks, sticks, and clubs and they were viciously yelling "KILL THEM".
It got more and more perilous until a club hit a soldier. He responded by quickly firing his musket into the mob. Several soldiers panicked and started firing into the mob. Several colonists were hit before the mob bolted away. Five of those hit were killed. More trouble was inevitably to come.
