Community Helper and Inventor

Community Helper & Inventor

Benjamin Franklin, who was a great community helper, also was an inventor. In about 1727, he opened the very first library because of his love of reading. Happily, he also opened the first fire department. He invented many things like the lighting rod, the iron stove, and the bifocal glasses. When he was 18, he became a postmaster where he was in charge of the mail. He learned that lightning has electricity. He opened the first hospital in America and founded the University in Philadelphia. Reverently, Benjamin Franklin showed kindness to his country by helping the community and inventing things to help others.

Salvation

Salvation

Salvation is when you are saved from sin and God has saved you. Some say that when you sin you lose salvation. I don't believe that because, Ephesians 1:13 says "If you have salvation you shall not lose it." I believe that if you ask Jesus for salvation he shall grant it! In some places people compare salvation to the gates to heaven. I hope that everyone can gain salvation.

It is important to really serve God. If you love Him, you will obey Him. I came to know God at church when I was five. I felt very special that day. Knowing I had God in my heart felt good. I wanted to know God more and more. We started doing devotions and I loved it. I want you to get to know God more! Ask someone to pray for you. After, you should try devotions. I hope you gain salvation.

Hebrews 7:25

Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Thankfulness

Thankfulness

Thankfulness is is when you feel blessed over something that has happened. That is why we celebrate Thanksgiving. We are blessed that the Indians were there to help us when we had no food. Thre is a verse in the bible that talks about thankfulness.

Psalm 100:4

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
    and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

Some things I am thankful for include:
  1. My family
  2. My dog Taco
  3. God
  4. The wonderful food my mom makes
  5. The bible
  6. Happiness

Courtship

Courtship

My mom recently told me about courtship and I thought it was neat. Courtship is a period where a couple's relationship may proceed to marriage. During courtship, a couple will get to  know each other and decide if there will be marriage. A couple will also do courtship if they believe God is leading them to marriage. I  believe  that my future husband shall love the Lord and other things before I can continue with marriage. I want to make sure that my husband will help me grow in my faith and not drive me away from Jesus. I am hoping and praying for the man to come into my life. Knowing that God has a plan, I will be looking for the man God would want me with.

The Important Letter

The important Letter

I, who was just a girl, was riding my horse, Dusty as fast as I could to deliver this letter. I was delivering this letter to the president! So far I was in the forest because I had been traveling for a long time. He was very fast which made it windy. I didn't know what the letter was for but I knew it was important. Dusty had started to go fast and I fell of!

I fell into a very deep river! I had held the letter up out of the water so it wouldn't get wet. I had realized that there was a guard. Luckily he was turned around so I drifted along the river. Suddenly the guard turned around and spotted me! I swam as fast as I could trying to spot my horse. Then I saw dusty behind the blueberry bushes. I quickly jumped out of the river and saddled onto dusty.

Then I arrived at the white house. The president had been  waiting for me. I gave the letter and apologized for being late. I had told him about the journey tho the white house and he told me I was very brave. He told me the letter was the Bill of Rights. I was shocked because if I lost it we would not have the freedom of lots of things! The president had told me that I get an award. I  received a gold medal and I rode home. I was very pleased of my accomplishments
